Birthday surprises delivered in Madrid

So you're there on their birthday even when you can't be.

A birthday can't be moved. If you're working that day, away, or living a thousand kilometres off, there's no getting it back — and a message at midnight isn't the same thing.

So we go instead. We knock on their door with whatever you've chosen, the song you tell us plays, and we film all of it so you get to see their face even though you weren't there.

How we prepare it

  1. You pick the hour, not just the day

    A birthday has its moments: waking up, finishing work, dinner with their people. There are three windows — 9am to 2pm, 2pm to 7pm and 7pm to 10pm — and you choose the one that fits the plans they already have.

  2. You tell us whose it is

    What birthday it is, what the two of you laugh about, which song reminds you of something. It isn't filler: it's what we say at the door and what plays while they open it.

  3. The video reaches you

    We film the moment they open the door and send it over. It's the closest thing to having been there.

What if they live with the person giving the surprise?

It happens a lot: whoever's organising it is in the house and wants the surprise to arrive from outside. Tell us and we ring the bell like any courier, without saying who it's from until they open. We can also deliver to their workplace, if you give us the address and know they'll be there.

What we bring them

Six complete packs, with cake, flowers, balloons or a teddy. They all include the same thing: the delivery in person, the music and the video.

What people usually ask us

Can you deliver first thing in the morning?
Yes. The morning window runs from 9am to 2pm. If you want it to be the first thing that happens to them that day, choose it and we'll take that into account when we plan the route.
How far in advance do I need to order?
Five days. Cakes and flowers are made for that particular day, and less time than that isn't enough to do it properly.
What if they're not home when you arrive?
We call the contact number you gave us and wait a reasonable while. If they still don't turn up, we tell you before deciding anything: we don't leave a cake with the porter without checking with you.
